If you stay regularly the staff will know your name and go that extra mile to make your stay extra special. On this occasion I stayed for mt birthday and was upgraded to a beautiful suite with a heartfelt card and some complimentary macarons. This will be the crowning glory in and trip to Cork. Central and luxurious.

This hotel is full of history and is very elegant. The staff were professional and courteous. As a guest it is worthwhile exploring the ground floor to see the Michael Collins exhibits and enjoy the Frederick Douglass lounge. My (standard double) room was compact but well laid out with two small areas for seating. The hotel is perfectly located for walking around the central area of Cork.
